Sturdy Web of Lyoni

Yesterday evening, I checked the vial containing lyoni web that has been placed together in 9.3M lithium bromide since last May. Shockingly, I found that the threads were still floating in the liquid. 9.3 M lithium bromide is a well-known chemical used to disintegrate silk fibers and in fact, it also worked on my Nephila pilipes web. However, unexpectedly, lyoni web is hardly dissolved! Even when the temperature was increased up to 60 degrees celcius for almost 5 hours. This is very interesting observation. I wonder how the repetitive motif's pattern look like that can render the effect of LiBr molecules....Hmm...
