Agar Stabbing for Delivery

Today, I had a chance to prepare agar medium in microcentrifuge tubes for agar stab method. Indeed, this would be a different topic than usual but since the chemicals are not yet arrived, I posted about this experience. After the agar solidified in the tube, I used a needle loop to pick one colony of DH5 alpha cells and stabbed in the center of the agar inside the tube. There it went, four tubes of agar stab containing the competent cells. This method is merely to mobilise cells from one place to another without the use of ice.

 Hooray, the agar stab is ready for delivery tomorrow!
