Tissue Regeneration in Spideys

Yesterday, when I was checking my tarantula pet, I discovered that she has molted her old skin. However, one thing that I noticed was that a new frontal leg has grown back again though smaller in size compared to its other frontal leg. In her former form, she had the leg amputated; not sure how since she was caught from the wild by a friend of mine as she was dying. So, I took her home and reared her, fed her with good care until she was healthy again. I was really shocked to see that cute leg and realized that tissue regeneration in spiders is common. I have read somewhere before about it and this time, I have experienced it for real. Maybe, they can be a good model for research in tissue engineering in the future, perhap? Crossing fingers to this..

On the left pane is her old skin without the frontal leg and on the right pane, you can see the tiny leg grown back...
