Silky Project comes with Big Responsibility: Primer Design

This morning, I had a busy time in designing several sets of primers based on my hypothetical MaSp-CL gene structure. This is because the spidroin gene transcripts from the transcriptomes are short-length sequences. The longest fragment is about 2000 bp. Thus, not much information can be obtained although I managed to construct the gene structure in comparison to that of the adult and also from the gene transcripts of P. phalangioides. Hopefully, this time, the primers that have been designed can yield a full sequence of MaSp-CL as predicted by my hypothetical structure. Crossing fingers for this!!
