The Dream Came Through

Yesterday, the D-day that I have been waiting for the past 2 years has finally arrived. What D-day? Indeed, the microinjection of Lyoni eggs of course! With the help of my lab mate, as I owe him so much, I injected 100 embryos with FTIC fluorescent dye in the first trial. Guess what? Out of 100 eggs, only 20 were able to be loaded with dye properly.. The rest burst out or shrunk upon needle penetration. As a newbie, it took me almost 5 hours to finish the whole process. At the end of the day, I went back home with terrible headache and fatigue! Yet, I was so satisfied and enjoyed. I will continue to master the skill before the real injection with CRISPR! Crossing fingers to this~~
