Designing the Capillary Needle, What a Diffulty~~

All through this week, I have been moulding the capillary needles to obtain a good design for injecting CRISPR into Lyoni's eggs with the aid from my labmate. He has experiences before in microinjection thus, has helped a lot and I really owe him! After designing the needles, we tried them on the Nanoliter 2000 system to see if any of them work. Indeed, the first trial was a success but the subsequent trials resulted in failure. Although, we had followed exactly all the tricks to backfill the needle with mineral oil, yet I still could not master the skill. Next week, I will design again some needles and try to practice again on the system until I get to master the skill.
