SEM Analysis of Crossopriza lyoni Spiderlings

Yesterday, as expected, the wild-type spiderlings of C. lyoni from F0 generation had hatched with high hatching rate. This is in consistent with the fact that they hatch after 18 to 19 days of artificial incubation. Interestingly, this batch is going to be used for SEM analysis of the spinnerets to pin point out the number and types of spigots as well as for transcriptomic analysis. 8 spiderlings were sent out for SEM and they were neatly packed in small glass tubes.. Hopefully, they will arrive safely at Quasi facility and yield positive SEM images.
