Not Drosophila but Other Species of Fruitfly?

Today, while checking the spider embryos inside the incubator, I surprisingly discovered something crawling up and down in the fruit fly culture medium cup...Last week, I deliberately left opened ajar one of the cups; knowing that the wingless Drosophila culture previously obtained from my co-SV lab was not successful to breed on the medium I prepared (first time!)... I was really upset; had no idea what happened to the flies; the reason why they would not propagate..So, I tossed away the cups on the bench, waiting to be sterilized...But, that would not stop me there.. Not until I saw one fly actively hopping around on one of the cup lids; lured by the rotting smell of the medium..Poor creature..Rather than letting the medium rotted with mold, I opened the lid ajar; hoping that the fly would jump in and feed the remains.. And it turned out to my surprise, today, there were like hundreds of big, fat maggots, crawling up the cup to find place to pupate..Not sure what species they are but anyhow..Now, I have the fruit fly culture of my own to start with!!

See the fat maggots crawling around
Yellow fat maggots love my medium
From time to time, the phorid fly culture is blooming...
