A Good Spidey News for New Year!

 Hey folks,

I am still not too late to wish you all a Happy new year! Like always, this year will be a rough year to face.  Why? Because I need to get done with the PhD study and the same time working. Nevertheless, I have a good news to share. As I mentioned in the previous post that I would be repeating the gel electrophoresis to separate the deletion bands of the mutant samples. After I did it, I jumped to my surprise to find that the deletion bands were very obvious on 4% gel and they were somehow in line with those found in the founder generation! I was extremely extremely happy until I burst into tears of joy! I thank God Almighty for this and somehow this result confirmed that the silk gene was really edited in the spider!. Have I created the world first gene edited spider? I think yes! The next thing is to clone the PCR products and sequence the bands containing indels~Yosh! Now I am very confident wit my PhD study! Road to viva voce~~
